Kampala Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago has vowed to re-enter his office at City Hall next week after nearly 3 years in the cold.
Addressing a news conference at his office this morning, Lukwago said he had all legal the documents and backing from court allowing him to be in office.
He says he has also written to the Kampala Capital City Authority director seeking payment of all his salary and allowance arrears for two and half years amounting to Sh500 million.
He says if his request is not granted, he will have no choice but to use forceful means.
This comes a day after the city executive director Jenniffer Musisi issued a statement insisting that Lukwago would not be allowed into office until after he has been sworn-in.
