The Chief Justice Bart Katureebe has challenged magistrates to exhibit high levels of integrity in order to win public trust in the judiciary.

Katureebe was speaking during a meeting with the general public at the court open day at Mengo Magistrates Court.

The open day aims at providing a platform for members of the public to give feedback to the judiciary in order to have their concerns and grievances addressed.

Justice Katureebe has decried the fact the judiciary continues to top the list of most corrupt institutions in the country.

Most of the complaints from the public were about corrupt judicial officers, delayed court claims and land issues among others.
