Trade and Industry minister Amelia Kyambadde has halted the ongoing demolition exercise at Centenary Park.
This is after Kampala Capital City Authority took over control of the now controversial park this morning as it moves to save the green belt.
However, Kyambadde says the move is illegal since the set deadline of 30th September has not been respected.
She says she was never consulted as the line minister and therefore her views were not considered.
Kyabadde has also condemned the arrest of Sarah Kizito the proprietor of Nalongo Estates Limited.
“We are responsible for the business community; my office should have been consulted. Jennipher can’t operate like this,” Amelia Kyambadde speaking at Centenary Park.
