The CECAFA zonal qualifiers of the CAF women’s champions’ league have been postponed until further notice.

The tournament was set to kick off on Saturday July 17th and climax on August 1st in the Kenyan capital Nairobi.

The reason for postponement has not been revealed though it’s understood that some clubs have not been able to travel to the tournament venue due to financial reasons.

Uganda’s representative’s Lady Doves were placed in group A alongside Simba Queens of Tanzania and PVP FC Buyenzi from Burundi and were set to reveal their squad tomorrow and travel on Friday.

The eventual winners of the tournament are meant to represent CECAFA region in CAF women’s champions league to be held in Egypt later this year.
