CCEDU calls for calm ahead of Luweero polls

Reporter | May 21, 2014

With hours to voting day in Luweero, the Citizen’s Coalition for Electoral Democracy in Uganda (CCEDU) is urging all stakeholders to remain calm and peacefully participate in the exercise.

According to an observatory report, wide discrepancies have been sighted including miss interpreting roles of an MP.

It has also been discovered that the candidates have been meeting voters at night distributing items like sugar, soap, salt, and T-shirts to locals.

Now the CCEDU Chairperson Livingstone Ssewanyana has implored stakeholders to respect the law and desist from electoral malpractice such as multiple voting, bribery, and intimidation.
