Buganda Road Court has dismissed charges of forgery against FUFA President Lawrence Mulindwa and Chief Executive Officer Edgar Watson.
The case was filed by pressure group Save our Soccer member Denis Mbidde, who accused the FUFA leadership of allegedly forging sections of the association’s constitution.
Chief magistrate Sylivia Nabaggala has however ruled that Save our Soccer has no legal locus to meddle into the affairs of FUFA.
The court also observed that that FUFA is not a public body and its officials cannot be tried as public servants.
The magistrate further noted that the chief complainant Denis Mbidde is not a FUFA delegate and has no legal basis to interfere with its activities.
Chief magistrate Nabagala has referred the matter to the police in her ruling, saying it needs further investigations including questioning the source of Mbidde’s information, since he did not disclose the same to the court.
