The 28th Uganda International Trade Fair and Exhibition kicks off today, running until October 10th after a two-year break due to Covid-19 restrictions.
According to Simon Kaheru, the chairperson for the Uganda Manufacturers’ Association trade fair organizing committee, the opening ceremony will today be graced by Wamkele Mene, the Secretary General of the African Continental Free Trade Area.
He says Mene’s visit is a grand visibility gesture for Ugandan products across the continent.
The trade fair will feature business-to-business meetings amongst the over 900 exhibitors, 800 of whom are Ugandan manufacturers while the rest are drawn from 20 countries.
