Business community worried about rising food process

Members of the local business community are concerned about the rising food prices, owing to the high costs of fuel which they say threaten to drain their customer’s pockets.
According to the Marketing Manager at the African queen business hub Ivan Manzi, if food prices are kept low, the general public will be able to save some money, thus increase their purchasing power for other commodities.
He says this will also in turn help stimulate growth and fast recovery of the covid-battered local businesses.
The government has indicated that it plans to fully re-open the economy in three months after at least 4.8 million people have been vaccinated against Covid-19.
Manzi made the remarks at the launch of a range of Cussons baby products that are distributed by the African Queen company in Kampala on Sunday.
