Former Vice President Prof. Gilbert Bukenya will have to work a little harder to win back the trust of his party the NRM.
The Government Chief whip Ruth Nankabirwa says the NRM will not trust Bukenya soon.
Nankabirwa who is also the Kiboga district NRM chairperson made the revelation while addressing journalists at her home inKiwanguzi village Kiboga town council.
She saysBukenyamade several accusations against the government of President Yoweri Museveni, which cannot be taken lightly.
Prof Bukenya, who was appointed vice President in 2003 and sacked in 2011, started open criticism against the ruling party and President Museveni.
He also openly sided with the opposition and joined The Democratic Alliance, a loose opposition coalition that sought to field a joint presidential candidate against Museveni who is the NRM’s sole candidate for the 2016 race.
He last week stunned his former associates in the opposition coalition when he announced his decision to support the President in the forthcoming presidential polls.
