President Yoweri Museveni is expected in Mbale today for the official installation of Umukukha, the head of Inzu Ya Masaba cultural Institution.
Bob Saulo Mushikori II was elected in June this year replacing Amb.Wilson Wamimbi who had served his five year non- renewable term.
Wamimbi was elected by 26 clan leaders in July, 2010, as the pioneer head of the institution.
Mushikori who has been the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the House of Masaba, got 28 votes against Manafwa LC5 Chairman Walimbwa Peke’s 26 votes, followed by Prof. Gimoi Kiboma, and Gregory Gidagui with 10 and 2 Votes respectively.
He also served the President for North American Masaba Cultural Association.
The Bamasaba occupy Sironko, Bulambuli, Mbale, Bududa and Manafwa districts and some parts of Western Kenya where they are referred to as the Babukusu.
