Jinja Municipal Council authorities   have petitioned the National social security fund managers to consider Jinja town for the construction of housing estate.

The Jinja Municipal deputy Town Clerk Jefrum Waidhuba while speaking during the commissioning of Shs3billion Jinja city house constructed by NSSF management said jinja is the next fast growing town with many poor residents who need low cost housing estates.

Waidhuba said NSSF can be helped to secure land for a housing estate to be set up like those in Kampala.

The NSSF Managing Director Richard Byarugaba said they have started with construction of office buildings in different regions and more other projects are shall be extended.
