The opposition in Arua has warned the police against engaging in tactful politics.

This is pro Museveni supporters were allowed to demonstrate against Mbabazi’s declaration for Presidency.

On Wednesday, hundreds of pro-Museveni supporters marched through the streets of Arua town denouncing the announcement by former Prime Minister Amama Mbabazi that he would contest for the party’s presidency.

The District FDC Chairman, Hamza Manzu, says the police is playing double standards by offering platforms to sections of politicians while denying others space.

The district police commander Jonathan Musinguzi however maintains that the pro Museveni supporters met all the guidelines of the public order management Act.

The police have already announced that they will not allow former premier Amama Mbabazi to hold consultative meetings because the NRM has disowned him.
