The army has welcomed the sentence given to private Okot.
Private Patrick Okot Odoch was sentenced to 90 years in jail by the General Court Martial sitting in Bombo yesterday after he was found guilty of shooting and killing 10 people near the Bombo army headquarters recently.
Speaking to journalists in Kampala the Army Spokesperson Lt Col Paddy Ankunda hailed the court’s decision saying it was fair and would serve as a big lesson to others , further having a word of caution to army officers.
The public in Bombo Town yesterday expressed mixed reactions to the court sentence.
