The army has dismissed claims that it has evicted Over 300 families from a piece of land in Mubende town council.
This followed reports that the eviction had been allegedly carried out to pave way for a training facility for the national army.
Responding to the claims the UPDF spokesperson Lt Col Paddy Ankunda said families on the land are actually trespassers who should not be there.
He notes that there was a training exercise for cadet trainees on the said land causing fear among the residents.
Mubende town council mayor Zziwa Kizito had said people from five villages had been affected.
