The Archbishop of the Church of Uganda Dr. Samuel Steven Kaziimba Mugalu, has rallied Ugandans to pray as the country heads to the polls.
In his weekly Sunday Services, at his residence on Sunday, the archbishop announced prayers before and after elections asking everyone to participate wherever he is.
The prayers will focus on peace during elections, but cautioned against having prayers while complaining.
This comes after the Church of Uganda failed to participate in the recent three day National prayers organized by Joint Christian Council.
He meanwhile also admitted to some disagreements within the Uganda Joint Christian Council.
He however stressed that these differences are not as big as they are being made to look and they are being ironed out within the organisation.
The archbishop has also asked Ugandans to actively turn up for voting.
