An Anti-gay thanks giving service is underway at Kololo Independence grounds.
The service organized by the religious leaders and civil society coalition is in support of the president’s decision to assent to the anti-gay law.
President Yoweri Museveni who is the chief guest has already arrived.
Speaking at the event, the Deputy speaker of parliament Jacob Oulanya said enactment of the law was further proof that the country’s leadership was ready uphold its sovereignty at all cost.
Also in attendance are several traditional leaders and senior government officials.
