The body of the late Assistant Inspector General of Police Julius Sharita is set to be flown back to Uganda on Thursday.
The late Sharita died of Cancer and Pneumonia on Friday last week in New York City.
According to the police spokesperson Fred Enanga a special committee headed by deputy Inspector General of Police, Martin Okoth Ochola has been set up to work out modalities for the return of the body.
He explains that upon the return, a vigil will be held in Kampala and later the body will be taken to Kyankukwe village in Mitooma district for burial.
The late Sharita previously worked as the Director of Research and Planning in the Uganda Police Force before he went to New York.
