The agriculture minister Tress Bucyanayandi has defended the budgetary allocation to the sector.
In the recently presented budget the sector was allocated Shs480 billion, an amount various stakeholders have described as merger to the largest employer of Uganda’s population.
Minister Bucyanayandi says while it may appear small, the sector is resilient and also feeds off from investments in other sectors like infrastructure.
