The Acting Inspector General of Government Rapheal Bakku has been thrown out of Parliament, as members queried his authority to represent the Institution.
Bakku had appeared before the committee on legal and parliamentary affairs to present his policy statement.
The MPs including Fox Odoi, Wamai Wamanga and Sam Otada however queried his powers.
They argued that the Inspectorate as per the Constitution is supposed to be led by the IGG, with two Deputies all of whom can’t be represented by one Deputy.<PSI_END_OBJECT>
The committee chairperson Stephen Tashobya says the matter has been referred to the Attorney General for guidance on the way forward.
Bakku however says the issue would be best determined by the Constitutional Court.
