Barely a year in office, Acholi Chiefdom Prime Minister Philip Polly Okin Ojara, has revealed he will resign his position.

This is to pave way for his political ambition in Cwa County, Kitgum District, where he intends to contest as Member of Parliament in 2016 general election.

Ojara was appointed as Prime minister of Acholi Cultural Institution by the Acholi Paramount Chief David Onen Acana II, in September last year, following the suspension of the former Premier Kenneth Oketa over alleged mismanagement of funds.

The Acholi premier intends to contest on FDC ticket.

Speaking to KFM, Ojara confirmed that he is already gearing up for the 2016 general elections, adding that he will resign from his position at Acholi chiefdom , so that he concentrates on his political career.
He added that, he is the only person who can advocate for the children in terms of improved health care and household income in Cwa County.
