A total of 372.6 Million dollars has been raised from the Uganda solidarity summit on refugees.
This was announced by president Museveni at the end of the 2 day summit.
President Museveni who was co-chairing the summit with the UN secretary general Antonio Guterres hailed the various countries and agencies for the generous contribution towards supporting Uganda’s efforts to takecare of the humanitarian and development needs of refugees and host communities.
He said although a lot more is still needed, this will help address some of the most pressing issues like health education and infrastructure
The summit was intending to raise 2 bn $ to support refugees for the next one year
