A man in Isingiro district has been lynched by angry residents who accuse him of beheading his aunt and niece over the weekend.
Locals say the man identified only as Turyahabwa gruesomely murdered his 55 year-old aunt Namatanzeas she tried to rescue her 13 year-old granddaughter from him.
The Resident District Commissioner Isingiro district Herbert Muhangi says preliminary investigations indicate that Turyahabwa was intoxicated with marijuana at the time of the incident.
Muhangi has urged locals to report to the authorities anyone suspected of growing or selling marijuana.
