East African Community Heads of State meet today in the Kenyan capital Nairobi for the 16th Ordinary Summit.
The Summit was preceded by the 30th Extraordinary Meeting of the EAC Council of Ministers.
It will among other things consider the Annual Report of the Council of Ministers for the period December 2013 to November 2014 and the Progress report in the implementation of key outstanding decisions of strategic importance to the East African Community.
Also on the agenda is the appointment of new Judges of the East African Court of Justice; and renewal of contract of Jesca Eriyo, Deputy Secretary General in charge of Productive and Social Sector and Consideration of a report on selected priority matter.
It will among other things consider the Annual Report of the Council of Ministers for the period from December 2013 to November 2014.
Also on the agenda is the appointment of new Judges of the East African Court of Justice and the change of chairmanship currently held by Kenya’s president Uhuru Kenyatta.
