Twelve people have perished in an accident at Musita trading center along the Jinja -Iganga highway.
The accident involved a taxi, trailer and a tractor carrying sugar cane.
The dead were all traveling in a taxi to Iganga.
Mayuge district police commander Caroline Akoth says that the over speeding trailer rammed into a tractor carrying sugarcane.
She says the trailer lost balance and its container fell off landing on a taxi.
The deceased bodies have been taken to Jinja hospital while the four people injured are receiving treatment at the same hospital
Akoth blames the accident on over speeding.
