Security minister Muruli Mukasa has asked members of the general public to take the terror alerts seriously.
This comes days after the police issued a fresh terror alert warning of an impending attack by Alshabaab terrorists.
The alerts have however been down played by many members of the public who think it is a mere gimmick.
Now addressing journalists at parliament the security minister Muruli Mukasa said this is not a joke and the threat is real.
He asks the opposition to avoid politicizing issues of security.
