At least 10 people have died in fatal accident involving an Akamba bus plying Kampala Bujumbura Burundi.
The bus registration number KBJ 760 R rammed into a Fuso lorry number UAF 506 T at Kaharo along Mbarara Kabale road this morning.
The Regional Traffic Police Officer South Western Uganda John Philbert Okolo confirmed the accident which he blames on wrongful over taking by both drivers.
He says both drivers were attempting to over-take amidst the early morning fog, leading to the collision.
The driver of the lorry only identified as Kasiraba is among the dead while the driver of the bus known as Njika is on the run and police says they are still hunting for him.

One pupil of St. Mukasa Preparatory Seminary Mushanga, Sheema district has died in a motor accident with 59 others surviving death narrowly.
The accident occurred when the bus they were traveling in lost control and over turned into a valley as they headed for tour of Queen Elizabeth National Park.
The Regional Traffic Police Officer South Western Opwonya Donasiano says the injured pupils have been rushed to Kampala International Teaching Hospital Bushenyi with the school nurse in critical condition.
He says the school hired the Maryhill High School bus registration number UAM 190Q for the trip and by the time of the accident 69 people were on board, with 60 pupils and 9 teachers.
The deceased has been identified as 14 year old Gabriel Ndyanabo son to Baruhuka Gabriel of Kitab, Bushenyi district.
