The 67th edition of the 2017 Uganda Ladies Golf Open officially kicks off today at the Uganda Golf Club, Kitante.
The tournament to last three days is expected to attract over 160 local and foreign golfers.
27 foreign entries have been registered including six Kenyans, 12 Tanzanians, 6 Nigerians, two Rwandans, and one Zimbabwean for the under 18.
Meantime over 20 foreigners have also been registered for the subsidiary age bracket (19 to 36), 7 of which are Kenyans, five Nigerians and four are Rwandans and Tanzanians.
For Uganda all eyes are on Irene Nakalembe and Flavia Namakula who has won the ladies open five times.
