UNEB blocks arrest of head masters

The Uganda National Examinations Board has asked the police to halt the arrest of school heads who deny students chance to sit for exams for failing to meet their financial obligations.

This follows the recent arrest of several headmasters especially in Uganda for barring students from sitting for national without clearing their dues.

According to the board’s spokesperson Hamis Kaheru, parents with school fees problems must liaise with school management before seeking police intervention.
