Uganda Risks Losing Out on Digital Migration

According to Ibrahim Bbosa, a Consumer Affairs Officer at the Uganda Communications Commission, the country also loses the opportunity of having its spectrum freed.

Uganda complied with the ITU International deadline of 17th June but just a few television viewers have been able to purchase the set top boxes required for the switch.

From the government perspective, there are still challenges regarding level of awareness and financial constraints that are yet to be addressed.
