Uganda Closes Vura Boarder Entry

The Uganda police have resolved to close, the Uganda – Congo boarder on the Ugandan side, following several failed meetings between Uganda and Congolese authorities.

The decision was reached after another meeting flopped on Tuesday.

Speaking to KFM, the West Nile police spokesperson Josephine Angucia said that their counterparts in Congo insist on re-possessing the land.

The border conflict broke out at Vura post in Arua district after the Congolese residents erected structures about 300 into Ugandan territory, creating tension and anger from the Ugandans especially traders who have been stuck there for two weeks.
