Two out of Bukanga Bi election race

Two candidates have pulled out of the Bukanga bi election race.

Seven candidates had been cleared for the race but two have pulled out for various reasons.

The Electoral commission spokesperson Jotham Taremwa the duo is Jacqueline Asiimwe Matovu and Jeremiah Kamurali.

Those still in the race are Nathan Byanyinma an independent, Democratic Party’s Shafique Dembe, NRM’s Stephen Kangwagye, Ham Tumusiime-Independent as well as FDC’s Tito Turio.

 Meanwhile Taremwa says all is set for tomorrow’s polling exercise with polling materials already dispatched to Isingiro district. He says these are to be distributed to the 135 polling centers tomorrow morning.

The Bukanga county parliamentary seat fell vacant following the death of Gregory Matovu in September.
