Rights Defenders Predict Increased Police Brutality Ahead Of 2016

Human rights defenders and activists have expressed fear that more brutality is to be experienced against the opposition ahead of the 2016 polls.
This follows last week’s arrest of FDC’s Flag bearer Retired Col Dr.Kiiza Besigye and the party spokesperson Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda.
Speaking to KFM, human rights lawyer Nicholas Opiyo says a lot more of this should be expected.
He says it is all aimed at intimidating the opposition and entrenching the ruling government.
Addressing the media last week however, the police Chief General Kale Kayihura blamed Dr. Besigye for his own woes saying he has made himself the target for police action.
