Opposition to boycott three parliamentary sessions in solidarity with suspended colleagues

The Leader of Opposition in Parliament Winnie Kiiza has announced that the opposition will boycott all the three parliamentary sessions, in solidarity with their colleagues who were suspended yesterday.

Speaker Rebecca Kadaga last evening suspended 25 lawmakers for allegedly breaching the Rules of procedure and for being unruly.

Kiiza says that the Speaker ruled with emotions, and that the opposition will not aid an attack on the Constitution.

She has made the announcement in a strategic opposition meeting at hotel Africana earlier today.
