NRM to hold primaries to decide party representative to replace the late Abiriga

The Ruling National Resistance Movement party is today set to hold its primaries for Arua Municipality.

8 candidates are fighting for the party’s flag in the Arua municipality by- election to replace the late Col Ibrahim Abiriga.

Theyinclude Simon Ejua, the former State Minister for Transport and Vurra County MP, John Lematia, also a former MP and former EALA MP Nusura Tiperu.

The NRM’s electoral head chairman Dr. Tanga Odoi says all is set for a smooth exercise that will produce a candidate to be fronted for nomination to the national electoral commission.

He attributed the postponement from yesterday to today to logistical challenges which he says have now been resolved
