MP’s blame increasing accidents on the absence of police patrols

Days after the Kiryandongo accident that claimed lives of 22 people Members of Parliament have blamed the increasing accidents on Kampala-Gulu highway on the absence of police patrols.

According to the Gulu Municipality Member of Parliament Lyandro Komakech traffic police on this high way concentrate more on lorries carrying charcoal leaving passenger vehicles to be driven recklessly.

He has now asked the new police Chief Martin Okoth Ochola to review traffic regulations to ensure safety of Uganda while on the roads across the country.
