MP’s accuse Telecoms of greed for phasing out scratch cards

MP’s have accused mobile telecom operators of being driven by greed for profits in pushing for the phasing out scratch cards.

MPs have unanimously reiterated their stand today against the complete scrapping of scratch card services.

This was during a meeting organised by Parliament for an interaction between the speaker Rebecca Kadaga, the legislators and the Telecom operators.

The Speaker said that the decision by Telecoms and the government fall short of considering the common man, and she said that both scratch cards and Easy load system should work concurrently as the public goes optional on what they feel comfortable to use.
