The Leader of Opposition in Parliament, Winnie Kiiza has condemned what she calls unprofessional conduct against members of Parliament.
This is after police attempted to block some of the members opposed to the amendment of the constitution from accessing the premises of Parliament.
Earlier today, the police attempted to arrest Lwemiyaga County MP Theodore Ssekikubo but failed after fellow lawmakers formed a ring around him to block the police.
The MPs accuse the police of turning parliament into a battle field.
However, the Kampala Metropolitan Police Commander Frank Mwesigwa has rubbished the allegations saying they are only doing the job.
Today, the ruling Nation Resistance Movement is expected to seek leave of Parliament to introduce a private members Bill to amend Article 102 (b) of the Constitution to lift the Age Limit cap for presidential candidates, in what has been perceived as a move to pave way for President Museveni’s ascent to life Presidency amid fierce criticism.
