The executive director of Kampala capital city authority Jenipher Musisi has reached consensus with the developer of former park yard land Hamis Kiguddu to compensate the former traders who are currently operating on his building in down town.
Speaking during their meeting at city hall,Musisi noted that this agreement followed traders who were evicted petitioning her office that a number of their merchandise was stolen during g the process and that they were operating in very poor conditions.
She now notes that since Ham has accepted to give 100 million shillings to over 1000 traders operating on his building, the money should go to their Sacco and made available for traders to borrow and do their businesses.
Meanwhile, the money caters for only vendors operating on Ham shopping mall in down town leaving out those who are operating in Usafi market.
