Following the Supreme Court’s nullification of the August 8th Kenyan presidential election last week, Jubilee leaders have asked the Electoral commission to urgently announce the date for a fresh election.
According to our sister Paper Daily Nation, Kenya’s Deputy President William Ruto said that the election date must fall within the constitutional deadlines provided.
He said that the IEBC must not waste time because Kenyans are ready for the reelection.
He has however attacked the judiciary, accusing the judges of colluding with the opposition National Super Alliance, to which the opposition candidate Raila Odinga belongs, to frustrate Kenya’s democracy.
