Bantariza in dock

Court has set a date for hearing of the case of fraud against Col. Shaban Bantariza.

The General Court Martial chaired by Brig. Moses Ddiba Sentongo has set September 26th to start hearing the case.

This is after prosecution led by Capt. Fredrick Kangwamu informed court that investigations into the matter were complete.

Bantariza, a former army spokesperson and National Leadership Institute boss, is expected to appear before the General Court Martial for mention of the fraud case against him.

The former Uganda Media Centre deputy executive director is charged with three counts of fraud.

He is said to have received a tractor donated to the institute by the ministry of finance, but instead claimed to have purchased it at Sh 67m.
