Funding will increase access to education

The government needs to increase allocation to the education sector so as to have more children access school.

This comes from the vice chairperson of the education committee Jacob Opolot following release of a UNESCO report that indicated that 700,000 children are out of school.

Vice chairperson of parliament’s education committee Jacob Opolot however says the responsibility of ensuring that children are in school should not be left to government alone.

Many other players in the sector have complained of the poor quality of education being offered.
