Five Kisenyi terror suspects seek bail

Five of the 10 Kisenyi terror suspects have arrived at the War Crimes Division of the High Court under tight security for hearing of their bail application.

The five are seeking to be released on bail on grounds that it is their constitutional right.

They are appearing before Justice Moses Mukiibi.

The suspects include 4 Somali nationals and a Kenyan who claim they spent 18 days in police custody without charge.

Through Mushabe, Munungu and Company Advocates, the female suspect says she is suffering serious pregnancy complications.

The suspects were last month remanded to Luzira Prison after they were charged before Buganda Road Court with abetting terrorism and belonging to a terrorist organization.
