The Only Ugandan Artist to win a BET award has a message for Ugandan Musicians. “Stop talking, Judging and fighting each other and make music so we can match up to the competition”
Musuuza as he is referred to by those close to him and fans says “a lot of Ugandan artists are being taken up by fights and the so called beef forgetting that doesn’t get anyone an award or show. I don’t know but no one has ever hired me because I am in a fight or because I have beef with someone. “Many have come out to attack me, said all they want to but look at me, I am growing and getting better with each day that passes. This year alone I have released an international collabo with Alaine , Jubilation has been trending on Radio, Online and all over the country. “I released NZE MUTUUFU for my “Local Audience” I have to balance my music. I have a Ugandan audience but also an international audience that I can’t ignore.
I haven’t had many shows in Uganda because the international audience booked me for almost the whole of this year. Every space in between I have to shoot a video or do some more music so I don’t have much time to do shows at home but every time I can I am more than glad to do so.
Eddy Kenzo said all this while unveiling to us his new video titled SHAURI YAKO off his upcoming Album Entitled “BIOLOGY”
Kenzo “SHAURI YAKO” could be translated to English as “It’s up to you” in the song Kenzo sings in Luganda, English and Swahili
Kenzo “the video was shot in Tanzania and Zanzibar, it was shot and Directed by a good friend of mine a Tanzanian Music video producer Hanz Cana, I met this beautiful lady Lucy Charles while I was in zanzibar on a show, I later learnt she is a top model and former miss Zanzibar so I asked her to be in my video, we agreed and she makes the video look good.” I am not done yet, I have another song coming out very soon, I am shooting the video next week when I get back from Gambia.
