EAC minister warns Odinga and group about Uganda-Kenya sugar deal

Those plotting to frustrate export of Uganda’s sugar to Kenya will not succeed.

This comes as a group of Kenyans led by a politician plan to demonstrate over the sugar deal signed between Uganda and Kenya.

Speaking to KFM state minister for East African Affairs Shem Bageine said those trying to block this deal are frustrated politicians who have not appreciated the importance of integration.

He however says they will not be allowed to have their way.

President Museveni yesterday also spoke out on the matter insisting that there was no need for mediation over allowing Ugandan products in Kenya and other East Africa countries.
