The government is set to roll out dual citizenship registration in the Diaspora by April 2018.
Speaking during the Uganda UK Convention in London, the Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga said that following the passing of the Dual Citizenship Act, there is need to implement it by having citizens registered.
She said plans are underway to have operation centers one in Nordic countries, in Washington and one in the United Kingdom starting April 2018.
Kadaga also revealed that a portal would be established to enable online application and submission of forms.
She has however said that Ugandans with German citizenship would not be in position to get Ugandan citizenship because German law does not allow for the same.
