The opposition Democratic party has challenged the speaker of parliament to use her authority and trash the much anticipated age limit bill that is to be presented the committee on legal and parliamentary affairs today.
Launching the red ribbon week at the party headquarters, Dp president Norbert Mao says trashing the bill will be the only way Kadaga will regain her lost glory by re affirming the need for comprehensive constitutional reforms.
Mao adds that the week is hinged on 7 pillars among them the restoration of term limits, maintaining presidential age limit, having an independent electoral commission and the right for citizens to own land and be awarded adequate prior compensation.
Part of the red ribbon activities will include reaching out to students in higher institutions of learning, holding rallies and putting on red attire.
