The Nakawa Grade One Magistrate Timothy Lumunye has issued the 3rd criminal summons against Australia based Ugandan Cardiologist Dr.Aggrey Kiyingi.

This is after the state prosecutor Anne Ntimba informed court that Dr.Kiyingi had for the second time failed to show up because he had not been served with the first summons requested by the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Dr. Kiyingi is required to answer charges relating to terrorism and murder of Muslim clerics.

He is jointly charged with 5 others who are currently on remand at Luzira prison.

The magistrate has now extended the summons until April 28th when his 5 co-accused will also appear for mention of the case, since investigations are still ongoing.

Prosecution states that Dr. Kiyingi offered training, recruitment and logistical support to former Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) rebels who were reportedly hired to execute the two sheikhs, Mustafa Bahiga and Abdul Muwaya.
