Uganda tourism board is set for the birding expo which kicks off today.
Speaking to kfm the Chief Executive Office Steven Asiimwe says a group of foreign birders, bloggers and media are already in the country to be part of expo.
He says Uganda has over 1000 bird species accounting for 50% of bird species in Africa and 10% in the whole world with the expo meant to boost the country’s tourism sector .
He says Ugandans should also embrace this activity to promote their own.
The expo is slated to take place in Entebbe botanical garden.
