The angry residents have approved the proposed amendment bill but asked their legislator to use the money for another purpose.

Wilber Otim one of the leaders says they are not ready to be bribed so as to second amendment of a bill.

According to the MP, the money was a simple refund for participants’ transport to the venue and back to their respective homes.

However, Otim says the amount is suspicious because parliament has amended several articles in the constitution and each time it did not facilitate MPs to the tune they been facilitated consult on age limit bill.

The consultation meeting was held under heavy police deployment following reports that some people had planned to disrupt it.
