Respect Time For Breaking Fast, Sheikh Imran

On the sixth day of the month of Ramadhan, Muslims are advised to depend on weather conditions and not time when eating the meal before fasting commonly known as Daku.

The Imam of Old Kampala Mosque sheikh Imran Ssali says the appearance of the break of dawn signals the end of the period of eating and the start of fasting daily.

This follows the release of different time tables with some starting 4am and others 5:30 as the time to stop eating.

Sheikh Ssali says muslims should avoid some misleading timetables for this meal as they might break their fast ignorantly before the prescribed time.

He says the Quran prescribes clearly when to eat and when to stop and this should be respected.
